This week's Newsletter "episode" was packed... I'm not sure there are enough hours in the day!
The ST TNG B'way edition still sticks with me, too (I've watched it 5 times).
Only Murders in the Building is one of my Favorites. I know the new season is back on Hulu... but at least for now I'm waiting until all the episodes are completed and then will Binge! Love Steve Martin from the SNL "Wild & Crazy" days. I plan to listen to the Martin & Short podcast you spoke of.
At the significant risk of dating myself... Your Beatles reference made me think about my older brother taking me to see them at Shea Stadium in 1965. They entered the stadium on a helicopter. The fan reactions that day were Totally Over The Top!
This morning, while on the Elliptical, I listened to the very entertaining Amy Imhoff interview. Some Great Stuff...
... Lives & breathes Star Trek; she infuses it into her life!
... Obsessed with action figures (I have to admit, I have a few at home).
... Yesterday's Enterprise is also one of my most favorite episodes.
... Working relationship with Kate!
... Referencing Janeway's Naomi Wildman speech about never abandoning a crew member.
... Star Trek is all about smart people working together to solve problems!
I have a couple more episodes of The Last of Us to finish...
... This will make you laugh-- I'm already more than 1/2 way through season 1 of Timeless! Love it!
So happy you're enjoying the newsletter, I always appreciate your comments. And hooray for Timeless!!! So good. Yes, I thought Amy's interview was great. I can't believe you saw the Beatles in 1965, that's amazing. I was born in '66 so I missed the whole thing. I did get to meet Ringo, though. He hosted an episode of a show I produced back in my VH1 days.
Your Reco for Conan’s podcast with guests Martin & Short should have come with a warning not to listen while operating machinery (my Elliptical). Absolutely Hysterical!
Thanks for putting Delta Flyers back on my radar. I first began listening during a Voyager re-watch and was listening almost everyday during my Elliptical workouts. I stayed with it until I caught up with previously recorded episodes and wanted to keep watching Voyager but there were no companion podcasts recorded yet. Today though I listened to episode 1 of the new season 8. Garrett and Robert are both highly Engaging and you got to give them credit for staying with it… I was a bit emotional remembering my time listening to the episodes when the pandemic was still in everyone’s minds.
Most recent All Access with Chris Fisher was Superb…
… Production 1001 on steroids
… 99% of the time the scripts were “Bananas-Good”!
… Fascinating discussions about the AR Walls & Digital Backgrounds
… Akiva: “Let’s go make Trek”
… Did I hear you right that you pronounce your hometown of Toronto without the 2nd “T”? To-ron-no?
Glad you're enjoying my recommendations! And yes, we say "Toronno." I loved that Chris says it that way too. He was such a positive upbeat guy... I will be plugging that in tomorrow's newsletter. And I was also laughing out loud at Steve & Martin on Conan while I was on the treadmill, so I get it. When Martin Short described Conan as a "freeze-dried Prince Harry," I almost fell off. Also the Jack Nicholson story!

Oh great, I’m going to concerts before you were born. Now, I know I’m old!
But wait… Doing the math… I was 9 when I saw the Beatles… so I’m “Only” 10 years older… I feel just a bit better!
That's not a lot!
Hi again Laurie,
Just a couple of quick ones…
